The internet; basically anyone with a Smartphone, has been agog with excitement, disgust, wonder and plethora of other emotions over the emergence of some plastic life-like beings; sex dolls. A sex doll, love doll, blow up doll is a type of sex toy in the size and shape of a sexual partner for aid in masturbation and is known in a superfluity of names. Though I believe that masturbation is an act of self-pleasure, meaning as long as you are not doing it with a living being, it is masturbation. This is an information for those who think that having sex with a sex doll is not masturbation.

Funny thing is that these sex dolls are not new. They were originally invented in the 17^th century by Dutch sailors who would be isolated at sea during long voyage. These masturbatory dolls, referred to by the French as ‘dame de voyage’ and by the Spanish as ‘dame de viaje’, were made of sewn cloth or clothes and were a direct predecessor to today’s sex dolls. The term ‘Dutch wives’ is still sometimes used in Japan to refer to sex dolls. One of the earliest appearances of manufactured sex dolls dates to 1908 in Iwan Bloch’s The Sexual Life of our Time. Bloch wrote: “In the connection we may refer to fornicatory act affected with artificial imitation of the human body, or of individual part of the body. There exist true Vaucansons in this province of pornographic technology, clever machines who, from rubber and other plastic materials, prepare entire male or female bodies, which, as homes or dames de voyage, sub serve fornicatory purposes. More especially are the genital organs represented in a manner true to nature. Even the secretion of Bartholin’s glans is imitated, by means of a ‘pneumatic tube’ filled with oil. Similarly, by means of fluid and suitable apparatus, the ejaculation of the semen is imitated such artificial human beings are actually offered for sale in the catalogue of certain manufacturers of ‘Persian rubber articles’.” Apparently, while were fighting the civil war, sex dolls were bought.

Over time, the production material of sex dolls has improved. From old sewn clothes to vinyl to latex and now, silicone. Which feels like human skin. And the quality of sex dolls themselves has improved from sex dolls to sex robots. Sex robots or sexbots are anthropomorphic sex dolls, meaning that it has human qualities. It has artificial intelligence (AI) and can properly interact with you, observe you and know your likes and dislikes both sexually and relationship wise. You can now customise a sex robot exactly to your liking from 19 different face options to 11 different styles of labia (the folding of tissue at the opening of the vagina). Depending on which model you choose, your sex robot can also display certain traits and personalities, perform up to 50 automated sex positions and maybe even “orgasm”.

Technological development has made sex robots more lifelike than ever. But they have sparked a host of questions about what consequences their presence will have. Anti sex robots argue that sex robots would replace human interaction and connection and that their availability would further increase the perception of sex as a commodity. Pro sex robots say some people already treat sex as a commodity, that it’s a matter of choice and preference and that relationship with robots would never replace human interaction that sex robots are more for socially-awkward individuals than anybody else.

Kenyan Photographer Creates a Striking Adaptation of the Black Panther Concept

Osborne Machara, an award-winning Kenyan photographer has been commissioned by Marvel Studios to create an exclusive artpiece and has been given the creative license to experiment on the  Black Panther concept. This adaptation sees Machara telling an African story with just one shot. 

           Machara has titled the work Ilgelunot. Ilgelunot, in Massai, means 'The Chosen Ones'. This project tells the story of the elders of Massai origin who were  Black Panther's most trusted advisers.

          However, one thing is quite obvious here; the elder in the middle looks like a bride being walked down the isle.

Ladies First

Ladies first. This is one of many phrases both men and ladies use on daily basis. The ladies long for it while the men supply and chant it like a rule. According to UrbanDictionary.com, Ladies first has been described as gentlemen’s favourite sentence. Arguably, this is the most commonly heard phrase after “I love you”, “you look good” and “you are beautiful”. On daily basis, ladies are showered with compliments from mostly men. By now, compliments like these are what every lady must have gotten used to. In the home, at offices and places of work, on the streets, even in open-air markets and shopping malls. These days, the internet have become a fertile ground where ladies get honest and dishonest compliments from friends and strangers alike.

The origin of this word is very disputable and can be argued from many fronts. Many stories have it that it originated from Europe where Knights were expected to respect the honour of ladies. Again, during moments of disaster and emergency, women and children are always rescued first. In numerous situations, the idea of ladies first was seen as a well-groomed behavior from men. It started as a sign of respect for women. A man would hold a door open for a lady. If a line were forming, a gentleman would allow ladies to go first.

This phrase is usually used to mean after you. This does not however mean that ladies should always pass first through a door or other narrow passage. The idea is that the gentleman who accompanies the lady will only let her pass first when entering a trusted environment.

On the other hand, when entering an unknown place, or when exiting a building, the gentleman is to go first. The reason for this is that in case of any danger on the other side of the door, the strong man can protect the lady.

Women, in particular, repeat this everyday as if it is a rule. They actually feel proud of it. They think it is a praise to them. From the perspective of many ladies, a well behaved gentleman will always let a lady pass through before him or open the door for her. Ladies see this as a show of politeness, courtesy, respect, groomed mannerism etc. many ladies see it as a basic behavior expected of a gentleman

Although many ladies still appreciate a seat on a crowded bus or a man holding a door, however, some have dissented to the idea of Ladies first. Some see it as unnecessary courtesy while some say it irritates them and describes it as a busybody pretense by men. Some even see it as a tactic by the men to stare at them from behind. Hahahahahahaha!!! Imagine the scenario.

Men, in their own vast world see it as basic behavior required of them whenever they are in the company of a lady or ladies. For men, it is an evidence of refinement, care, and kindness. To some, it is a naturally and socially required etiquette. A gentleman will always open the door for a lady, follow a lady when going up stairs, in case she should fall over, and always walk before a lady when going down the stairs for the same reason. In both cases a gentleman would never stare, indecently or otherwise, at any parts of a ladies anatomy. However, to some, it is a waste of time and they care less about it.
